Regular Programs at Hindu Temple
HOST REGISTRATION FORM (SIGN UP)
We would like to express our gratitude to you for the successful beginning of Sunday Host program. We have been having on an average about 150 devotees having prasad every Sunday since the beginning of the year 2024.
Have you registered yet?
Here is the link that can take you to the registration form.
What does it take to host?
First and foremost, there is NO cost involved. It's on Sundays. Devotees can opt to sponsor individually or collaboratively with friends and family. Detailed Guidelines are available in the signup link.
Few points to note:
- Temple has limited facilities to cook. Only rice and Halva can be made at the temple. Other items have to be made at home or catered. Only disposable crockery is used (plates, glasses etc.).
- Host should plan to be at the temple from 11 am to 2.30 pm.
- Food is served after Aarti at 1 pm.
- Host family usually has volunteers to help with serving the food and post cleaning. However, if they require Volunteers, they can let temple Sewa Mandal know who can arrange volunteers to do the needful.
This program has been successful only because of your continuous and unwavering support, and for that we are sincerely thankful.
We look forward to Devotees volunteering to sponsor to keep this amazing Temple Tradition going.
Namaskar🙏

As most of the participants of the Youth Bhajan Program are busy with their academic and extracurricular activities and participation in the Temple’s Bhajan program is decreasing, the Youth Bhajan program is paused starting the month of April.
Youth Bhajans every first Saturday of the month from 5 & 6 PM
Youth from the community will be singing bhajans and devotional songs virtually.
If you would like to participate in the program, please send an email with name of singer(s), name of the bhajan and time (how long) to eventsatthetemple@gmail.com.
Hari Geeta
A group of devotees meet once a month (virtually) to read Hari Geeta (Bhagvadgeeta in Hindi) and Sunderkaand, alternating monthly between the two scriptures. The group is on WhatApp and those who wish to read are assigned part of the scriptures.
As an example, a devotee would read Chapter 1 of Geeta, followed by another participant reading Chapter 2 (or part of it), and so on. Similarly, a participant would read dohe’ 1 and 2 (followed by chaupais) of Sunderkaand, then hand over to the next participant to read the assigned dohe’ and chaupai. The scriptures are available on our website or can also be obtained from the Temple.
The program starts at 9 am on a weekday (usually Tuesdays) and finishes around noon.
The list of readers is shared on WhatApp. Those who do not have this app can communicate using email.
To participate and be added to the group, please send email with your name and WhtasApp contact detail (phone number or email to add) to mail@hindutemple.ca
Sunderkaand

There is nothing more fulfilling and soothing as this holy scripture.
